A Legend LeavesDate: 13 November 2017 at 21:20 by Liam Cook
Coventry United has come to terms with the departure of a club legend, as Josh O'Grady joins Midland Football League Division 1 outfit Racing Club Warwick.
Since his arrival from Daventry in 2014, the winger has become the Red and Greens' all time top goal scorer, with 60 goals in all competitions, including some exquisite free kicks, which lead to him receiving the nickname 'Mr Set Piece' from the Coventry United media team. Josh made 129 competitive appearances, leaving in him in 3rd place, behind Chris Cox and Rob Prinzel, in the all time club appearance list.
The 2015/16 campaign was a particularly special season for O'Grady, as he sealed the Player of the Season award after scoring a remarkable 33 goals in 41 games, helping United to the MFL Division 1 title.
The move to Warwick sees Josh link up with fellow United alumni in Jamie Coleman, Lewis Hudson, Josh Blake and Martin Hutchcox, who were certainly keen to see their ex teammate join them at the Racers.
We would like to put on record our sincere thanks to Josh for several years of service, and we wish him the best for the future.
