Coventry United Ladies FC (CULFC) finished very strongly in the FA Women's Premier League 2016/17 campaign with only losing to the champions, Tottenham Hotspur in two league games last year. The club have been working very hard in the 'off season' and have already made significant changes to ensure they are striving and challenging forward into the Women's Super League this season, which begins 20 August 2017.

CULFC have increased training to three times per week, which includes a strength and conditioning session in a fully equipped gym with our qualified strength and conditioning coach, Erika Mole. All players have an individual strength and conditioning programmes with nutritional advice throughout the season.

The Butts Park Arena, which is situated right in the city centre of Coventry will be the new home and host to all Coventry United Football Club and CULFC home fixtures. The whole club are excited about being in Coventry and giving fans a venue that showcases quality football but is also a family friendly environment.

More exciting progress for CULFC is the girls' academy 16-18 year olds which will start later this year alongside the new partnership between Coventry United Football Club and The University of Warwick.

With the announcement of the new club captain Susan Wood yesterday and the vice captains Ali Hall and Jade Formaston, down at the Cryfield Pavillion the home of the new training ground for CULFC provided by Warwick University it seems the clubs pre season preparations are full steam ahead.

Jade Ogle, CULFC Marketing Director, said:

"All of these developments within Coventry United Ladies Football Club are to ensure that the public know how committed, passionate and professional all of us are about winning the league this year and enhancing all aspects of CULFC.

We would like to thank everyone for their continued support and look forward to welcoming even more supporters into our new home at The Butts Park Arena. Watch this space!"
