Red and Green Girls Rock The Robins Again

Date: 16 May 2018 at 11:56 by Liam Cook

The Red and Green Girls of Coventry United Ladies were on top form again with another sizable victory at Daventry, this time over Swindon Town Ladies.

A big win was expected over a team who had failed to pick up a point in their previous 21 league outings, and that trend would not be changed as United scored a superb 7 goals, despite the best efforts of a young Swindon keeper, who kept the scoreline as respectable as possible. Lois Jefferies was the star of the day, with the young attacker bagging a hat-trick. Helen Dermody found the net twice before the break, while Amber Hughes and substitute Ali Hall rounded off the rout.

Up next for United, it's QPR on Thursday 17th May at Daventry Town FC.
